Wholeheartedly Happy

Oh, hi there! I'm Whitney Wilkerson.

I'm an Arizona native, photographer in works, podcast lover, and blogger extraordinaire. Currently obsessing over avocado toast, hot yoga, Chick-fil-A dinner dates, and if you follow me on Instagram you know I have a deep obsession for puppies (duh! who doesn't love puppies?).

Stick around, stay a while, and read on for the rest!

At the age of 16, I enrolled in what I thought would be an easy get-by photography class. I convinced my mom that her cheap digital camera wasn't going to cut it, so she decided we would share an expensive, and our very first, Canon DSLR camera. Little did I know, this so-called "easy A" class would become my pride and joy and calling in life. I found happiness and solitude in photography and writing. So, I decided I would pursue this dream in college.

Zoom forward 6 years later, and here I am sitting in my tiny square cubicle on the 9th floor, where I have called home for the past 4 years. I drive an hour to work and an hour home and work the usual 8-5. Sure, it pays the bills, but I'm still pursuing that happiness I once felt as a young girl.

What happened to my calling in life? Where did it go?

I'm thrilled you've come across my blog - because you and me, we're a lot alike. We're both trying to make a life out of what we do and enjoy, and be wholeheartedly happy.

I hope this blog inspires you to explore new places, seek understanding, love the life you live, and truly be the best version of yourself one day at a time. Feel free to leave a comment or follow me on social media @azgirlwhitney!
