Our Wedding Video

Almost 5 months have passed since we became Mr. & Mrs. (WHHHHHAAAAAT!) but we continue to look back on this day and remember all of the amazing moments. Our wedding was nothing short of spectacular. When initially planning, we both agreed that it couldn't just be anyone up there joining us in marriage, and we both had our list of needs. Being raised in a Christian church, I knew I wanted someone with a similar religious background, and there was no question that it must be someone who knew us both from the inside out; Someone who loved us for who we are and what we believe, and could stand at the alter with us with no doubts or uncertainty about the love we had for one another.

During one of our occasional trips to Utah to visit family, it just clicked. We found the guy for the job. We had never once considered this person before and why it slipped our minds, I really don't know. She was smart, spunky, and has the biggest heart out of anyone we have ever known. We're so happy Kaden's aunt, Lisa Lupinacci, agreed to marry us. And yup, we were surely right... She was perfect for the role and added just the right amount of spunk and comedy for our big day.

Many of you have asked me for a copy of our ceremony, so here it is! Lisa, Kaden and I worked on this ceremony script for a quick minute and I am in love with each and every word. However, Lisa's commentary is definitely not scripted. Sorry but she's a one of a kind! Find your own Lisa.

Please be seated.
On behalf of Kaden & Whitney and their families, I’d like to welcome everyone here today. My name
is Lisa Lupinacci, Kaden's aunt. I was asked by the couple to perform their hand in marriage today.
They felt very comfortable enough having me perform their ceremony on the most important day of
their lives while they ONLY NEED TO REMEMBER TWO WORDS, so no pressure you two. I asked
Kaden & Whitney what they would like, to which Whitney replied “Do whatever you want, just be
yourself” an easier thing said than done. Whitney & Kaden found that special kind of love that has
been 4 years of adventures and laughs, fights and make-ups. The kind of love one could only hope and
dream of. They’re two people who have come together and said you’re it, (Like Spaghetti and
meatballs) the one and only person for me. Even when their bodies aren’t what they used to be, gravity
has set in, he may hear you less than he does now, and your skin become wrinkly, your love will
continue to grow as do your bodies.
Dearly beloved, we are gathered together on this day to witness and celebrate the marriage of Kaden
and Whitney. We come together not to mark the start of a relationship, but to acknowledge and
strengthen a bond that already exists. This ceremony is a public affirmation of that bond and as their
dearest family and friends, it is our honor and privilege to stand witness to this event. This day is made
possible not only because of your love for each other, but through the grace and support of your family
and friends. It is our hope that your fulfillment and joy in each other will increase with each passing
year.
Marriage is a commitment in life, where two people can find and bring out the very best in each other.
It offers opportunities for sharing and growth that no other human relationship can equal, a physical
and emotional joining that has the promise of a lifetime.
Today is a day that her mother has dreamed about since the day Whitney was born. It’s a day that her
father has known would eventually come since his little girl could walk. It’s a day that every father
holds themselves higher for the men they’ve watched their sons become. It’s a day where the absence
of loved ones that can’t be here with us, can still be felt. It’s felt through all the love that has gathered
for these two today.

OPENING PRAYER
Family, friends, and love ones, let us pray together.
God, we ask for your blessings upon Kaden and Whitney today, as we celebrate this momentous
occasion in their lives.
Grant them happiness and contentment as they establish their new home, create a new family and
explore the depths of their love for one another and for you.
Bless their families and friends and the relationships, which have supported, strengthened and sustained
them throughout their lives.
Bless their home as a place of love and of peace.
And if times grow hard and tempers grow short, help them to look into their hearts and remember the
love that brought them here today
Amen.

CEREMONY ADDRESS
Marriage deepens and enriches every facet of life. Happiness is fuller; memories are fresher;
commitment is stronger. Marriage understands and forgives the mistakes life is unable to avoid. It
encourages and nurtures new life, new experiences and new ways of expressing love through the
seasons of life.

In his letter to the Corinthians, Paul wrote: Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is
not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice
at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes in all things, hopes all things,
endures all things. Love never ends.
While the commitment begins with the two of you, its effect radiates outward. It touches your family
and friends and ultimately all of society (even Tuck Tuck and Perry). When this commitment is
seriously made and continuously fulfilled, it leads to the richest and most rewarding of human
relationships.

This is, I am sure, what you Kaden and Whitney both want for one another. It is also what your family
and friends who are gathered here want for the two of you. When a couple treats each other with
kindness, love, and respect, the best of what marriage has to offer is the result. The truth is Whitney
and Kaden have made several memories together and they will make several more. They’ve found a
love that is everlasting, they are truly themselves together, and they complement each other in every
way.

Your relationship will take more than love. It will take trust, to know in your hearts that you want only
the best for each other. Dedication, to stay open to one another, to learn and grow, even when it is
difficult to do so. And faith, to go forward together without knowing what the future holds for you
both.

While love is our natural state of being, these other qualities are not as easy to come by. They are not a
destination, but a journey. Marriage is a give and take between two personalities, a mingling of two
endowments which diminishes neither, but enhances both.
Your joining together today becomes all the more important to recognize the significance of a devoted
and affectionate family life.

RECOGNITION OF THE PARENTS
This occasion is a special celebration for you, the parents who have brought these children into the
world, and nurtured them into adulthood. Today you are witnessing another stage in the lives of your
son and daughter. Your continuing support and encouragement will be needed as Kaden and Whitney
unite in marriage. Will the parents of the bride and groom please stand. Will you who have loved and
nurtured these two, try with the greatest love and wisdom you have, to support this new couple and
help in every way? (answer: yes). The bride and groom would like to take this time to share in this
moment with their parents. (Bride and groom step away from alter to kiss and hug parents)
(Bride and groom make it back to alter) You are both blessed to have come from truly loving families
who recognize the importance of marriage. They want everyone to know that who they are today is the
result of many years of support and sacrifice by their parents.

CHARGE TO THE COUPLE
Seeing that no moment is without meaning, we ask that you take this marriage as a beginning of your
lives together. Today signifies the creation of a new home and a new family for you both. May you be
fulfilled by each other’s love and friendship. May you be overjoyed by the promises you are about to
make and the life together you will create.
Remember that in every marriage, there are good times and bad, times of joy and times of sorrow.
Marriage is a journey – a time of adventure and excitement enhanced by the love, trust, dedication and
faith you share in one another.

You are mature enough to know the difference between dreams and realities. You have youth and hope.
You also know that good times are sweeter when shared and that difficult times are less harsh when
borne by two. Continue to work to build a foundation that will support the lasting relationship that is
marriage.

May the promises you make to one another today, be lived out to the end of your lives. Tomorrow can
bring you the greatest of joys, but today is the day it all begins.
Kaden and Whitney, do you, with your family, friends, and two loving puppies as your witnesses,
present yourselves willingly and of your own accord to be joined in marriage?
[We do]
Will you promise to care for each other in the joys and sorrows of life, come what may, and to share the
responsibility for growth and enrichment of your life together?
[We will]

At this time, the couple would like to read their own personal vows.
(Kaden vows)
(Whitney vows)

VOWS
Both: Join hands
Kaden, please repeat after me.

My promise to stay by your side,

In sickness and in health, in joy and in sorrow.

Whitney, please repeat after me
I, Whitney Rae Zeldin, take you Kaden Thomas Wilkerson, to be my lawful wedded husband

Kaden and Whitney as you hold hands, may you see the gift that they are to you.
These are the hands that are holding yours on your wedding day as you promise to love each other
today, tomorrow, and forever. These are the hands that will countless times wipe tears from your eyes,
tears of joy and sorrow. These are the hands that will passionately love you and cherish you through the
years. These are the hands that will help hold your family together as one as you overcome adversity.
These are the hands that will give you strength when you need it. These are the hands that will work
alongside yours as together you build your future.

EXCHANGING OF THE RINGS
Having this love in your hearts, you have chosen to seal your vows by exchanging rings.
From the earliest times, the circle has been a sign of completeness. The rings that you have chosen to
wear have neither beginning nor end, much like your love for one another. They are a symbol of the
words that you speak today. May these rings be from this day forward, your most treasured adornment,
and may the love they symbolize, be your most precious possession. As you wear these rings, may they
be constant reminders of these glad promises you are making today.

PRAYER
Let us bow our heads and pray. Lord, bless the giving and receiving of these rings. May Kaden and
Whitney be forever true to this union. May the seamless circle of these rings become the symbol of
their endless love and serve to remind them of the holy covenant they have entered into today. Amen

Kaden, take this ring, place it on Whitney's left hand and repeat after me.
I give you this ring as a symbol of my love and faithfulness to you. I give you this ring as a pledge to
love you today, tomorrow always and forever.

Whitney, take this ring, place it on Kaden's left hand and repeat after me.
I give you this ring as a symbol of my love and faithfulness to you. I give you this ring as a pledge to
love you today, tomorrow always and forever.

Today you have pledged yourselves to a lifetime of caring for one another. May this be a commitment
made in love, kept in faith, lived in hope and eternally renewed. As you stand before us, it is our hope
that you will go through life loving, trusting, and caring for one another, completely and forever.
Kaden and Whitney from this moment forward you will never be alone. You will carry with you the
love of another person, giving you a completeness and renewed lightness. May your life together be
immersed in love and excitement. May you strive to enrich each other in every possible way. And may
you work to bring the peace you find to this world. I want to wish you much love and happiness as you
continue to keep lots of laughter and love.
