1 Simple Tip for a Better Nights Sleep

Y'all know I'm a big @jennakutcher fan over here.

After listening to her latest podcast episode last night about screen addiction, something Jenna said really started to resonate with me. She suggested this- do not sleep with your phone in your room.

Yup. You heard me right. Sleep is the foundation of our health and we're interrupting this by scrolling through countless feeds late at night or first thing in the morning.

WHAAAAT! Now, I know what you're thinking. But trust me, I took Jenna's advice and it worked!! If you think about it, when you're laying in bed next to your spouse and you're both staring at your screens and scrolling away, in the words of Jenna, you're basically telling that person that these strangers on the internet are more important than you are.


Now let that sink in. November is a month where we're reminded of what we're truly thankful for and I know that I'm thankful for every second of the day I get to spend with this man. But I also know that the amount of time I spend on my phone could potentially be affecting our marriage.

So I challenge you to join me! Every evening put your phone in the kitchen, or somewhere out of sight and out of mind. And before falling asleep, do something that benefits YOU. Read a book, cuddle with your pups, have a conversation with your spouse. Whatever it may be, I challenge you to join me, and I promise you'll wake up feeling amazing.
